Portable Geiger Counter and Radiation Detector Model AA92133

The Portable Geiger Counter and Radiation Detector is an accurate and reliable device that is supplied powered up and stays on for at least 10 years, checking and recording ambient radiation levels, plus displaying a reading of the previous 24 hour average dosage. It records alpha, beta, gamma, and X-radiation. An extra large digital readout shows measured radiation in English units (mrems/hr) or SI metric units (µSv/hr), accumulated pulse counts over time (sec/min/hr), and pulse rate in pulses/sec. That means you can measure immediate risk as well as accumulated exposure over any time period you choose.

The large multi-function 9-button keypad has numerous options for data display, output and collection, including both numerical and logarithmic bar chart formats, battery level, even date/time. One press of the button, one look at the display, and you will know instantly if there is a problem. The display even has an easy-to-use exposure chart to tell you how much danger you are in right now.

Almost every day we read about the increasing risks of ionizing radiation exposure. Radioactive recycled metal, depleted uranium munitions, nuclear plant leakage, forgotten disposal sites, even the so-called "dirty bomb" are all serious and current dangers to our health and well-being. With so many source hazards surrounding us, it is no wonder more and more individuals and organizations are investing in handheld Geiger counters for personal use, for security screening and for general radiation safety purposes.

The Portable Geiger Counter and Radiation Detectors are used by police, fire and emergency first response departments across the United States of America. The U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marshalls Service, plus numerous hospitals, universities, individuals, companies and organizations from over 60 countries have chosen the Portable Geiger Counter and Radiation Detector over competitors.
