Laser Vision Disruptor Model AA84112

The Laser Vision Disruptor is a compact high-power device specifically designed for applications where subject vision impairment must be achieved at distance, in dark as well as very bright ambient conditions including clear sunny daylight. It is the most compact laser device available that is suitable for this purpose, and is utilized by military, law enforcement and security agencies.

The Laser Vision Disruptor is a direct-energy device employing intense visible light, generated by a green flashing laser. It is intended to cause temporary blindness or disorientation. The Laser Vision Disruptor with its higher power creates a credible glare effect in a larger spot size for use on moving vehicles or individuals. This feature is critical for the protection of Entry Control Points and convoys, at distance, even in bright ambient conditions. The first reported use of a similar device in combat was by the British, during the Falklands War of 1982, when they were fitted to various Royal Navy warships in order to hinder low-level Argentinean air attacks.

The Laser Vision Disruptor is not intended to cause permanent blindness. Ongoing eye examinations continue to demonstrate no eye damage from repeated direct exposures of the Laser Vision Disruptor at and beyond the minimum 20-meter stand off distance.

Important Note: Since the Laser Vision Disruptor is designed to be compact yet effective at distance in bright ambient conditions it is not suitable for close range work due to energy densities that have the potential of causing irreversible eye damage at a close range. Sales are restricted to the military, law enforcement and security agencies only. Foreign sales are subject to the U.S. Department of State regulations and must be handled on a case by case basis.
